Operational Overview

(How To Use The Gram Master)

The Gram Master packaging system is a streamlined solution designed for efficiency, requiring only one operator to manage the entire weighing process.

The operator begins by feeding C-sized buds or smaller onto the 12 conveyors located on top of the machine. Next, they load A or B-sized buds onto the bottom scale and activate the foot pedal.

The top conveyors distribute the buds onto 12 weight buckets with load cells, which communicate with the main scale to identify the optimal combination or single bud for packaging, ensuring accuracy.

The Gram Master will pack grams, eighths, quarters, and ounces.

Trained staff can pack 4-12 containers per minute within the first day.

We have found that this works best with a second operator who sits alongside the Gram Master to manage removal of mylar bags or jars, handling sealing and capping process, ensuring a smooth, efficient workflow.

To further expedite efforts, that second operator (or a third operator) can periodically refill conveyor chambers to minimize machine downtime. This is especially helpful when filling larger packages like half ounces and ounces.

Equipped with NTEP main scale offering precision accuracy reading to 1,000th of a gram, The Gram Master provides adjustable settings to accommodate various package sizes and accuracy tolerances. With German-designed load cells on the top weighing buckets and a made-in-USA main scale and control system, the machine guarantees precision and accuracy throughout the packaging process.

Footprint:

The Gram Master requires only a 66″ x 46″ area, with additional space behind the machine for accessing the control panel and cleaning.

It arrives partially assembled and can be easily maneuvered through a standard 36″ door opening.

Installation Recommendation:

Given the sensitivity of the load cells and main scale on the Gram Master, it’s advised to place the machine directly onto a stable floor surface where it will not need to be moved.

Groen Automation has also had success with the Gram Master operating optimally when mounted onto a 42” x 54” x 1⁄2” thick steel plate placed on a solid floor surface if you are not able to achieve stability with the machine on your floor alone.
